Imagine this: The sink is full of dishes. The hamper is overflowing with clothes. You have three different pots cooking on the stovetop. Your child is yelling your name at the top of her lungs, demanding help with homework.
Your other child is yelling your name from the bathroom, informing you that there is no more toilet paper in the bathroom.
So, this might not be your EXACT situation (or maybe it is). I’m sure as a mother, you can relate to this situation because you are familiar with the never-ending demands as a mother, the multi-tasking involved to make your household function, and the inevitable stress that can come with such a demanding role.
Whether you’re a stay-at-home mother or working mother, it’s demanding and can be stressful. I was a stay-at-home mother for 7 months after my daughter was born. I’m a working mother now so I know both roles are tough. Whether you have one child, three children, or seven children, it’s still hard.
There’s a lot of advice out there on ways to help you manage stress. One of them is meditation. Years ago, I heard from many people on the many benefits of meditating, which included managing and reducing stress. Okay, I’m not going to lie. I was tired of hearing people say, “Oh just meditate. You’ll feel better.”
Eventually, I tried a meditation class at a local YMCA. The instructor was actually really good and I enjoyed the class. I felt a difference in my mood and my stress went down. However, I stopped going after a few sessions. Life just got too hectic and busy.
In the last few months, I wanted to try meditation again because I knew there were definitely stress management benefits, since I personally experienced them in my class years ago. But to be honest, as a working mother, I was scared that I would actually go to a class and eventually stop because of how busy my schedule can get. I wanted to reduce my stress, but do it in a realistic way. I thought, “Was this possible?” Is there such a thing as “meditation for moms that work?”
Signing up for a local, weekly, scheduled meditation class could potentially set me up for failure because of how busy life can be. That’s when I stumbled upon this online meditation course. I’ve been using it for several weeks and to my amazement, I’ve been doing it consistently, despite my busy schedule!

- The daily meditation exercises did not take a long time. They weren’t an hour long. In fact, your daily exercises the first week were a few minutes. It slowly increases as the weeks progress, but they are never long. This works for my busy schedule as a working mother.
- The course is online. This provides the flexibility to do the daily exercises wherever and whenever I want. It’s hard for me to do the classes during the day during a set time when I’m already busy. Honestly, I do the daily exercises at night after my daughter falls asleep or in the morning before everybody wakes up.
